Drop-in Knitting at the Milton Public Library

Nina Zonnevylle, a local resident and knitter extraordinaire, will assist other knitters of any skill level in a free one-hour session at the library.  Knit, create and make new friends!  These twice-monthly drop-in workshops in an informal setting offer an opportunity for people to get together, bring a project to work on (either for 20 minutes or the whole group meeting) and to have friends nearby to ask questions when they need help.  Attend one meeting or all.

Nina Zonnevylle studied under fiber artists Deb Kaufman and Jan Jackson at the weaving studio of SUNY, Geneseo.  For years she has worked on techniques in weaving, spinning hand-made yarns, and knitting.  Awarded a grant from the MA Cultural Council, she studied to perfect her skill in handspinning, using both a drop spindle and her trusty Ashford wheel, and organized a fiber festival to share what she learned with the community.  This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and for more information either contact Nina at nzonnevylle@gmail.com or call Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at (617) 698-5757.
