Eight Annual Milton 5K for Best Buddies Returns Next Month
The annual run/walk to benefit Best buddies will take place on Nov. 21 at the Cunningham School.

On Saturday, Nov. 21, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the eighth annual Milton 5K Gobbler for Best Buddies run/walk, which will commence at 9 a.m. at Cunningham School, 44 Edgehill Road, Milton, Mass.
Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in addition to the coveted Golden Gobbler trophies, which will be presented to the top fundraising individual and teams.

Last year, over 800 participants and supporters throughout Massachusetts turned out for the event, which raised over $50,000 for Best Buddies Massachusetts. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will help fund expansion of programs in middle school, high school and colleges throughout Massachusetts in addition to providing employment opportunities for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
Individual and group online registration is $20 on the Best Buddies website and event-day registration is $25. Individuals raising $50 or more receive a free t-shirt on race day.

Founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. The Best Buddies organization has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,300 middle school, high school, and college campuses across the country and internationally.
