Walter Timilty Wins State Senate Primary
Timilty moves on to the general election.

Walter Timilty will likely be the next state senator for the Norfolk, Bristol & Plymouth district.
With 92 percent of the vote in, Timilty is projected to beat fellow Milton Democrat Nora Harrington with 57 percent of the vote, according to Mass Live. With no nominees on the Republican side, Timilty's only general election opponent will be Stoughton native Jon Lott, who is running as an independent.
Brian Joyce, who currently holds the seat, is not running for reelection.
