Beth Israel Deaconess-Milton's Third Annual Diabetes Fair

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (formerly
Milton Hospital), will hold its third annual spring Diabetes Fair on Saturday April 28, from 10am until 1pm.

This year’s event will include a live cooking
demonstration, led by Hospital Dietitian and Certified Diabetic Educator Mercy Devadoss, RD.  Guests will learn about diabetes from hospital endocrinologists Tonslyn Toure, MD, and Service Chief of Endocrinology Manfred Ernesti, MD.  Dietitian Kristin Hatch, RD, will discuss strategies for diabetics to become more educated grocery shoppers.

Quincy-based restaurant Healthy Kitchen, part of the Common Market restaurants, will provide a complimentary lunch, and exhibitors will distribute educational
literature.

The event is offered free of charge, and is open to
the public.  Guests must pre-register by calling 617-313-1588.  This year’s fair will be held mostly outdoors under a tent, therefore guests are advised to dress
appropriately.
