Family Concert on the Green at Fuller Village with The Dixie Diehards Jazz Band.
Celebrate summer with a live family concert and a visit from Mr. Twister "The Balloon Guy", sponsored by a generous donation from the Partner’s Health Care at Home. The Dixie Diehards Jazz Band is a 9 to 10 piece Dixieland/traditional New Orleans jazz ensemble that uniquely blends musicianship, enthusiasm and flair to the music of the Jazz Era from Kid Ory and Fats Waller to Jelly Roll Morton and Louise Armstrong. Playing melodies that vary from rollicking numbers like Hello Dolly, Doctor Jazz and Bill Bailey to soulful renditions of Basin Street Blues and Georgia on My Mind, the Dixie Diehards are a throwback to the good times from an indelible era in American history. Bill Campbell, otherwise known to many children as Mister Twister "The Balloon Guy", has been entertaining with balloons for over 12 years and is sure to delight the young and the young at heart! Bring a friend, grandchild or neighbor; this concert is open to guests. Chairs will be provided – but if you prefer a lawn chair, feel free to bring it.
