Zookeeper, the movie starring Kevin James as a zookeeper who cares for the animals at Franklin Park Zoo, hits theaters nationwide on July 8, just in time for National Zookeeper Week! Visit Franklin Park Zoo during National Zookeeper Week and meet its REAL zookeepers to learn more about animals and wildlife!

2:00 PM: Ape Rock at the Tropical Forest
Cheer on Franklin Park Zoo’s zookeepers as they participate in a 24-hour rocking chair rock-a-thon. In an effort to raise awareness for ape conservation, zookeepers will rock in a rocking chair in front of the gorilla exhibit. Learn more at www.franklinparkzoo.org.

Meet the zookeepers and learn more about the animals that call Franklin Park Zoo home.
11:00 AM: Learn about the birds at Bird’s World
Meet at the Scrubland exhibit.
11:00-11:30 AM: Story time!
Meet at the Hippo Theater in the Tropical Forest.
1:30 PM: Learn about one of Franklin Park Zoo’s newest residents, Jockamo the giant anteater!
Meet at the giant anteater exhibit inside the Tropical Forest.
2:00 PM: Stop by the Tropical Forest for the gorillas’ daily forage feed.
Meet at the gorilla exhibit inside the Tropical Forest.
2:00 PM: Learn more about the animals at Pet Place.
Meet at Pet Place.
3:00 PM: Learn more about the Franklin Farm animals including Guinea hogs, Poitou donkeys, sheep, goats and more!
Meet at Franklin Farm.
4:00 PM: Learn more about tigers Luther and Anala.
Meet at the tiger exhibit.
There will also be a scavenger hunt for children that will teach them how to be junior zookeepers!
