Join food professional Suzanne Lombardi and former Brookwood grower Simca Horwitz to learn all about getting the most out of your farm fresh produce so that you can eat locally year round. The workshop will present a variety of methods for preserving the bounty of the season’s harvest including best practices for freezing produce and several canning and pickling techniques. We will use three different fall-centered recipes to put up different fall produce and discuss creative ways for incorporating canned produce in delicious dishes year round. Participants will all bring home a jar of freshly pickled produce.
