Free local summer program shares Japan with communities all over Boston

The Explore Japan Program is seeking participants for this summer’s program. Now in it’s 24th year, Explore Japan has proved to be a unique and rewarding experience for the participants as well as the host families. Under the supervision of Japanese experts, day-long activities at Pierce Middle School in Milton, MA are scheduled for the students. These activities include workshops on Japanese language, arts and crafts, cooking, martial arts, calligraphy and a variety of interesting cultural exercises, as well as a number of field trips to places like the MFA, Canobie Lake Park, the Boston Tea Party Museum and many more!

Explore Japan is open to students in all Eastern MA ages 8-18. For both programs daily activities are Mondays to Fridays from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.
