Fallen Firefighter Was Big Brother to Milton Teen

Michael Kennedy, one of the Boston firefighters killed in Wednesday's nine-alarm fire in Back Bay, mentored a Milton teenager.

Kennedy, a member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, was a Big Brother to Alex Beauzile, 14, for the last seven years, according to WCVB-TV.

The pair recently went to Six Flags New England.

"He told me he loved me and I said, 'I love you, too,'" Alex told the news station.
