Explore Japan Program Offers Free Summer Activities

Local program shares Japan with communities all over Boston

The Explore Japan Program is seeking participants for this summer’s program. Now in it’s 23rd year Explore Japan has proved to be a unique and rewarding experience for the participants as well as the host families. Under the supervision of Japanese experts, day-long activities at Milton High School (girls) and Pierce Middle School (boys) are scheduled for the students. These activities include workshops on Japanese language, arts and crafts, cooking, martial arts, calligraphy and a variety of interesting cultural exercises, as well as a number of field trips to places like the MFA, Canobie Lake Park, the Boston Tea Party Museum and many more!

Explore Japan is open to students in all Eastern MA ages 8-18.

  • Girls’ Program at Milton High School July 24 -- August 9, 2016
  • Boys’ Program at Pierce Middle School July 22 -- August 8, 2016
  • For both programs daily activities are Monday -- Friday, 9:00 am -- 4:00 pm

In exchange for hosting a Japanese visitor during the 2.5 program, participation is FREE! Explore Japan is a free, fun and educational summer activity for your children plus a cultural exchange experience for the entire family!
