Friends of the Library Hold Annual Bag Sale

For just $5 library patrons can purchase a bag of books, which will benefit programming by the Friends of the Milton Public Library.

The Friends of the is currently holding its Annual Summer Bag Sale. Shoppers can purchase used books for a low price, while funding a variety of programs and events at the library.

The Friends Book Shop, which is located on the lower level of the Milton Public Library, is offering a bag of books for just $5, now through August 31.

“The Friends Book Shop raised more than $12,000 last year, and at an average price of about $1 per book, that's a large number of books sold,” said Connie Spiros of the Friends of the Milton Public Library.

Through the book shop the organization funds all of the programming at the library as well as discount museum passes and the library’s free music download system, .

The shop hours are as follows:

  • Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Fridays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
