Homeless Man to be Charged in Milton Jewelry Store Break-in
Police say a small amount of jewelry was stolen from a display case just inside the store.

MILTON, MA — A homeless man faces charges in connection to a recent jewelry theft in Milton.
The 55-year-old man whose last known address was in Hyde Park will face charges of breaking and entering at the nighttime with intent to commit a felony. Police have not released his hame.
On Jan. 31 at about 1:30 a.m., a front window was smashed at Grono & Christie's in East Milton Square, according to the Milton Police Department. A small amount of jewelry was stolen from a display case just inside the store. Police were able to identify a vehicle of interest after reviewing surveillance footage from cameras in the square. Following an intelligence bulletin to area police departments, a Brookline police detective provided information on the vehicle and a possible suspect.

The man has not been formally charged but the Milton police expect to file them soon.
