The first public reading of the Emancipation Proclamation took place at Tremont Temple Baptist Church on January 1, 1863. Frederick Douglass was the narrator. We are commemorating this historical event by having a concert that will feature gospel choirs and praise bands from across the Greater Boston Area. Come join us as we celebrate Christ through songs and 150 years of the Emancipation Proclamation!
