Longtime Milton Police Officer Retires
Larry Lundrigan, who helped revive the Milton Police Department's K-9 program, retired after 29 years.

MILTON, MA – A veteran of the Milton Police Department retired this week after 29 years on the force, the department announced Sunday. Lawrence "Larry" Lundrigan joined the Milton Police Department in 1988 after serving in the U.S. Army.
Lundrigan was the driving force behind reviving the department's dormant K-9 program and was the handler for three different dogs, Uno, Cherokee and Hunter, over a two-decade period. He was a mainstay on the impact shift for many years, logging in at 5 p.m. with the call sign "Milton 729."
After retiring his last dog in 2015, Lundrigan moved to the day shift.
