Milton CEO Honored with Department of Defense Award

Milton resident John F. Fish of Milton, CEO, Suffolk Construction, received the Patriot Award for extraordinary support of employee family members serving in the Massachusetts National Guard and Reserve.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that John F. Fish of Milton, CEO, Suffolk Construction, was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of an employee whose spouse serves in the Massachusetts National Guard.

According to Thomas Boyle, ESGR Massachusetts Chair, “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who are members of the Guard and Reserve or to their spouses. Mr. Fish was nominated for being highly supportive of the spouse of a National Guard member. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”

John M. Pelose, ESGR Massachusetts Area Chair, presented the Patriot Award to Fish at the Suffolk Construction headquarters located in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Joining Fish was chief marketing and people officer Kimberly Steimle, CFO Mike Azarela, and vice president of strategic planning Nicole Mills, whose husband Jeffrey served in Afghanistan as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
