Milton Forum To Focus On Preventing Youth Vaping

Speaker series will focus on e-cigarettes, their dangers and how vaping companies target children.

MILTON, MA — Vaping, its harmful effects and how vaping companies target children and young adults will be the top of the next Milton teen speaker series. Milton Public Schools and The Milton Substance Abuse Prevention coalition will host the forum on Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Milton High School.

The program is part of the P.A.R.E.N.T. — Promotion Awareness and Resources for the Emotional Nurturing of Teens — series. The program is called: "Vaping and Our Youth: Strategies for Prevention."

Dr. Mary Cole, the program-coordinator for Greater Boston Tobacco-Free Community Partnership, will host the talk. Dr. Cole has her master's degree in public health from Boston University is a certified public health specialist.

Organizers say the talk is suitable for parents and children 10 years old or older.
