Milton Officials Look to Solve Logan Jet Noise Issue
A new group hopes to find a solution for the noise issues caused by airplanes from Logan Airport.

The sound of airplanes coming and going from Logan Airport over the past 18 months have become too familiar for many Milton residents and now the town has had enough.
Last month, the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Health appointed 10 officials and residents to a noise advisory committee to deal with the issue according to the Boston Globe.
Noise complaints from the airport have increased over the past year not just in Milton but in other neighboring towns due to the changes in some commercial flights that have lead to more flight paths with GPS navigation. Some of those paths take the planes right over Milton.

According to selectman Denis Keohane, most of the complaints have come from the eastern part of Milton, where the noise from the low-flying jets have been the most noticeable.
“I was at an outside party on Sunday afternoon, and I had to stop in the middle of conversation every 30 seconds until the planes went by,” Keohane told the Globe. “I didn’t realize how bad it was over there.”
