Milton Police Charge Woman With Driving Car Stolen In Brockton

Milton police said Brockton police told them the car may be connected to a stabbing in the city earlier Wednesday night.

MILTON, MA — Milton police said a traffic stop for speeding led to an arrest for driving a car stolen out of Brockton early Thursday morning. Milton police said Brockton police told them the car may have been used in connection to a stabbing in that city earlier in the night.

A 29-year-old woman was charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, giving a false alarm to law enforcement and operating without a license. Police said the woman was also wanted on four outstanding warrants.

Police said Officer Travis Weekes was on patrol on Blue Hill Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. when he stopped the car near Robbins Street for speeding. When Weekes determined the car had been stolen out of Brockton, he arrested the 29-year-old driver.

Police said the woman was held overnight and arraigned Thursday in Quincy District Court.
