Milton Police Recognize Arbor Day with Tree Planting, Public Lunch
The Milton Police Department invites members of the community to attend a lunch this afternoon as they plant a tree for Arbor Day.

The , the Department of Public Works and Hunt Landscaping will recognize Arbor Day with an event at the Police Station on Saturday, April 28.
According to Police Chief Richard Wells Jr., the DPW will clean up the MPD grounds on Saturday morning and Hunt’s will plant a new tree.
The public is invited to a lunch barbeque at 12:30 p.m. Wells said the grills will be out with hotdogs and other food items for the community.

Arbor Day, which is officially the last Friday of April, was created more than 135 years ago as a dedicated day to plant trees, according to arborday.org. Join the Town of Milton in the observance this afternoon.
