MILTON, MA — A suspect sought in connection with a bank robbery in Boston was apprehended in a Milton backyard Saturday. Milton police said officers saw what was possibly a getaway car involved in the crime speeding down Truman Parkway with the suspect eventually tracked to a yard on Meadowview Road where he was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

Police said they received an alert of a bank robbery on Truman Parkway in Hyde Park Saturday where Boston police arrested one suspect and at least one other drove away. Milton Officer Jason Sullivan then saw a vehicle being driven at a high rate of speed on Truman Parkway and attempted to pull the driver over. When the driver did not stop, Sullivan and Milton Officer Kristen Chipman began a pursuit.

Milton police said officers lost sight of the vehicle, but Milton Officer Joseph Marinilli soon located it on Brush Hill Road and began another pursuit. Police said the suspect got out of the car and began running through the neighborhood before Sullivan and Marinilli were able to chase him down in the Meadowview yard.
