Milton Proposed Budget Includes $52M Schools, $14M Public Safety

MILTON, MA — A budget that includes $52 millions for schools and $13.6 million for public safety is proposed as part of the Town Budget Consent Agenda for the Milton annual town meeting on June 15.

Town Moderator Robert Hiss proposed 22 warrant articles for the virtual town meeting postponed due to the coronavirus health emergency.

Out of the 22 budget items, schools are recommended to receive $52,088,319, employee compensation is recommended for $20,078,407, public safety is recommended for $13,672,193, the Sewer Enterprise Appropriation Fund is recommended at $8,316,145 and the Water Enterprise Appropriation Fund is recommended at $6,798,078.
