Join Us for Milton’s 2nd
Annual Relay for Life
On May 10th, from 2-9pm, at Milton High School (in the Copeland Field
House) we will be holding the 2nd annual Relay for Life! We are excited to host this incredibly moving
event for the entire Milton community.
The
American Cancer Society created Relay for Life as a way to raise awareness and
support those with cancer, nation-wide. Relay for Life is an all-day-long walk on
a track where a community gathers and forms teams to raise money for the
American Cancer Society for cancer research and
services for cancer patients.
It’s a day full of fun events and activities for everyone. There is a
survivor lap where survivors celebrate their victory along with caregivers. The
Fight Back Ceremony is an emotional ceremony that inspires participants to take
action. The Luminaria Ceremony takes place after dark when we remember the
people we’ve lost to cancer. Candles light up personalized bags placed around
the track. It’s a beautiful and powerful ceremony.
Our goal is to raise ten thousand dollars for the American Cancer
Society. We want the Milton community to come together to face this disease as
one. Adults and
children can join together to share in this special day on Mother’s Day
weekend and as a community walk together to make a difference.

you’re a part of! Help us makes strides in the fight against cancer!
