Milton Releases Warrant For June 15 Town Meeting
The Milton Select Board plans to conduct the meeting remotely, due to the coronavirus, pending the passage of state legislation allowing it.
MILTON, MA — The Milton Select Board has released the warrant for the annual town meeting. The meeting has been rescheduled for June 15 with hopes that it can be held remotely due to the new coronavirus.
The Milton Select Board last week sent a letter to the state legislature supporting a bill that would allow towns to conduct this year's meeting remotely based on state regulations on public gatherings.
The Select Board said average attendance for a typical town meeting is 250 residents with a quorum of 145 required.

Based on that, our town moderator has assembled a committee that is currently planning for the logistical and substantive needs of a remote participation town
meeting."
The annual town election will be held on June 9.
