Milton Residents Receive College Degrees

Melissa Traft, of Milton, Earns Degree From Clark University

Melissa M. Traft of Milton, Mass. received a degree from Clark University on Sunday, May 20. Traft graduated with a Master of Business Administration.

During the 108th Commencement exercises, Clark awarded 546 baccalaureate, 520 masters, and 26 doctoral degrees. Carol Geary Schneider, the president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), delivered the Commencement address. AAC&U is the leading national organization devoted to advancing and strengthening undergraduate liberal education.

Saint Anselm College Graduates of 2012

Saint Anselm College celebrated it's 119th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Local graduates include the following students:

• Christopher V. Macedo, of Milton, a Criminal Justice major.

Milton Residents Receive Degrees at 144th WPI Commencement

The following local residents graduated May 12 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

• Chrystian Dennis of Milton was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
• Savonne Setalsingh of Milton was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering with distinction.
• Stephen Heitman of Milton was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in interactive media and game design.
• Trisha Josephs of Milton was awarded a Master of Engineering degree in biomedical engineering.

Emma Flaherty Graduates from Lafayette College

Emma Flaherty of Milton graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., and earned a bachelor of science in biology, with honors in biology.

Lafayette's 177th Commencement was held May 19. Award-winning television and film director, writer, producer, and actor Garry Marshall gave the Commencement address to an audience of family and friends gathered under sunny skies on the Quad.

Yasmin Xiao Xia Baldini Earns Degree from Drew University

Yasmin Xiao Xia Baldini of Milton received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the university's 144th commencement. New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Barry T. Albin spoke to students at the ceremony along with Drew President Robert Weisbuch.

Milton Residents Among 1,328 Graduates at Fairfield University's 62nd Commencement

Fairfield University, a Jesuit university founded in 1942 in Fairfield, Connecticut, awarded 1,328 degrees at its 62nd Commencement on Sunday, May 20, 2012, during two ceremonies on Bellarmine Hall Lawn, one in the morning for undergraduates, and one in the afternoon for those receiving graduate and doctorate degrees.

The following area residents received degrees:

• Kevin Manning, a resident of Milton, MA, received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Fairfield University's School of Engineering.
• Shane Setalsingh, a resident of Milton, MA, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University's College of Arts and Sciences.
• Lauren Smith, a resident of Milton, MA, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business.
• Richard Trapilo, a resident of Milton, MA, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business.
