Milton Rugby Players Earn Bronze Medal in Bay State Games

A group of Milton athletes recently represented the Boston Rugby Club Under 19 team in the first-ever rugby sevens tournament in the Bay State Games. The team earned a bronze medal, defeating Berkshire United in the third place contest.

The seven Milton athletes are Chris Goss, Brendan Kelly, Will Dolan, Matt Donahue, Anthony Stewart, Brendan Marsano and Greg Rodney.

The U-19 tournament, which included four teams, was held at Deven’s Recreation Center.

The Boston team defeated Berkshire, 26-22. Mystic River won the gold medal game over the Boston Irish Wolfhounds with a score of 21-5.
