Milton School Committee To Vote On School Preference Plan Monday

Milton Schools received an extension to submit fall reopening comprehensive plan by Tuesday.

MILTON, MA —The Milton School Committee is scheduled to vote at its meeting on Monday on a preferred plan to start the school year under the fall reopening plan.

The plans were presented to the School Committee on Wednesday with an additional meeting — which will include the vote — scheduled for Monday. Milton Superintendent of Schools Mary Gormley said the town applied for, and received, a extension from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to be able to submit the town's plan on Tuesday.

"We understand that this is an incredibly difficult time for all stakeholders in the Milton Public Schools, and we appreciate all feedback," Gormley said in a letter to the school community.
