Milton Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Charges

State police say two Wareham men had 63 grams of heroin on them and evidence that they intended to sell the drugs.

MILTON, MA — Two Wareham men face drug charges following a traffic stop in Milton.

William Colleary, 41, and Andrew Prunier, 28, were charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, being present where heroin kept, and conspiracy to violate drug law, according to the Massachusetts State Police. Prunier also received a citation fo failure to stop/yield and driving without an inspection sticker. Colleary was cited for failure to receive a seatbelt.

At about 11:55 p.m. Wednesday night, Trooper Kyle Reed observed a gray Saturn Ion commit motor vehicle violations, police said. During a traffic stop on Blue Hill Avenue at Mattapan Square, police allegedly found 63 grams of heroin as well as evidence consistent with the sale and distribution of drugs.

Boston Police Officer Liam Hawkins and his K9 Rush assisted at the scene.

Both men were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Quincy District Court.
