Milton Woman Charged in Early Morning Shooting

Milton police responded to the call shortly after 3 a.m.

From the Norfolk County D.A.’s office:

A 63-year-old Milton woman was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing May 29, 2015, after being charged with twice shooting a man she knew early this morning, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey.

Jacqueline E. Scott, of 36 Eliot Street, Milton, pled not guilty at her Quincy District Court arraignment this afternoon, DA Morrissey said. She was charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Murder and Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. The shooting victim is an adult male known to Scott.

Assistant District Attorney Jaclyn Woodworth represented the Commonwealth, moving for dangerousness at arraignment.

Milton police responded to 36 Eliot Street, an apartment building, at approximately 3:16 a.m.. They were met at the front door by another resident of the building, who escorted them to an upper floor where Scott was found in the presence of the adult male suffering from obvious gunshot wounds, but still conscious and communicative with officers.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
