Nomination Papers Available For Milton Town Elections

MILTON, MA — Nomination papers for both the town elections and town meeting members are available in the Milton town clerk's office. Town Clerk Susan M. Galvin said papers are due back no later than March 10.

"Citizen participation in town government is essential to providing the residents of Milton with clear access to our town government," Galvin said.
The annual town election will be April 28. To be placed upon the ballot, candidates must obtain a minimum of 50 legible signatures from registered voters. Town meeting member candidates must obtain a minimum of 10 legible signatures from the precinct in which they reside.

The following positions will be up for vote in this spring's election:

  • Two members of the select board and surveyor of the highway for a term of three years
  • A town treasurer for a term of one year
  • One assessor for a term of three years
  • Two school committee members for a term of three years
  • One park commissioner for a term of three years
  • One member of the board of health for a term of three years
  • Three trustees for the public library for a term of three years
  • One trustee of the cemetary for a term of five years
  • One member of the housing authority for a term of five years
  • One planning board member for a term of three years.

  • Nine for a term of three years
  • One for a term of one year to fill a vacancy

Precinct Two:

  • Nine for a term of three years

Precinct Three:

  • Ten for a term of three years

Precinct Four:

  • Nine for a term of three years
  • One for a term of two years to fill a vacancy

Precinct Five:

  • Eight for a term of three years
  • One for a term of one year to fill a vacancy

Precinct Six:

  • Ten for a term of three years

Precinct Seven:

  • Nine for a term of three years
  • One for a term of two years to fill a vacancy

Precinct Eight:

  • Ten for a term of three years

Precinct Nine:

  • Ten for a term of three years

Precinct Ten:

  • Eight for a term of three years
  • One for a term of one year to fill a vacancy
