Numerous Car Break-ins Reported Across Milton

The Milton Police Department reminds residents to keep their car doors locked.

From the Milton Police Department:

The Milton Police are investigating numerous car breaks which occurred overnight. Sometime after midnight, vehicles were entered in the following neighborhoods, Elm Street, Gulliver Street, Old Farm Road and Kevin Road. We expect to receive additional reports throughout the day.

In a majority of these cases, vehicles are being left unlocked. The perpetrators of these crimes consistently bypass locked vehicles and only enter soft targets, “unlocked vehicles.” Please take a minute at the end of the night to make sure your cars are locked. It is a small crime prevention tip that will not only safeguard your own property, but may prevent a suspicious person from entering your driveway in the middle of the night while your family is sleeping.
