Teen Shot on Bikepath Near Milton-Mattapan Line

MILTON, MA — Police are investigating a reported shooing near the Milton-Mattapan town line.

At 5:21 p.m., a 16-year-old male was shot on the bike path behind the Ryan Playground off of 82 River St. in Mattapan, near the Milton town line, state police said.

The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center for a gunshot wound and is expected to recover.

The Milton Police Department says says the crime scene was located on the bike path behind the Central Avenue T Station. Milton, Boston, and State Police were all at the scene, Milton police said.

The Massachusetts State Police is taking the investigative lead. There is no danger to any citizens, police said.

No arrests have been made as of Friday night.
