State Police Arrest Man in Milton for Trafficking Heroin

Two Dorchester residents have been arrested after a motor vehicle stop resulted in drug charges.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, a state police officer pulled over, Luis Cortez, 29, of Dorchester and Carmen Figueroa, 27 of Dorchester. After an investigation, Cortez was found to be in possession of approximately 25 grams of suspected heroin according to the state police.
Figueroa, who was the driver and unlicensed, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Cortez, was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium and failure to wear a seat belt.
Both Figueroa and Cortez were scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court today.
