Stoughton Man Pleads Guilty in Car Crash that Killed Curry College Student

Sean Jackman will face three to five years in prison.

The ex-boyfriend of a 20-year-old Curry College student pleaded guilty on Friday to drunk driving in the accident that took her life.

Sean Jackman, 25, of Stoughton, pleaded guilty in Norfolk County Superior Court on Friday to motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence. A manslaughter charge was dropped by prosecutors as part of a plea deal according to CBS Boston.

Jackman faces three to five years in prison for the May 2013 accident.

Over a year ago, Jackman hit a tree and a wall on Bolivar Road in Canton after leaving a wedding with his girlfriend and Curry College nursing student Evan Bard.

Over 50 of Bard’s friends were in the courtroom, wearing pink in memory of her.
