Suspect in Milton Bank Robbery Arrested for Attempting to Rob Dorchester Bank

The man was recently arrested after allegedly attempting to rob a Dorchester bank.

A Chelsea man who is a suspect in a Milton bank robbery has been arrested after attempting to rob a Dorchester bank.

David Lydon, 28, allegedly attempted to rob a Meetinghouse Bank in Dorchester but was caught after the manager chased him down the street according to the Boston Globe. While bank manager Anthony Paciulli caught up with Lydon, the size of the alleged robber was too much for Paciulli.

“It was quite the scene,” Paciulli told the Globe. “I caught up to him and he hit me a few times, and then I hit him once, and we were just going round and round.”

Paciulli said the man reached into his pocket and started throwing $1 bills at him before casually walking down the street. He then turned into a dead-end street before Paciulli lost sight of Lydon.

Police were able to find Lydon inside a nearby residence with the help of a K-9 unit. The money taken from the bank was recovered.
