More than 2 million couples wed every year in the U.S., bringing together a whole new family unit. Critical in-laws? Uncooperative or defensive adult children? Long distance (and touchy) family relationships? Discover better ways to communicate. Dr. Ruth Nemzoff will share a witty and engaging talk about parenting adult children, relationships and family dynamics. She knows what she's talking about. She is the author of 2 leading books on the subject: Don't Bite Your Tongue: How to Foster Rewarding Relationships with your Adult Children and Don't Roll Your Eyes: Making In-Laws into Family. Dr. Nemzoff is a resident scholar at the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University and was the NH Deputy Commissioner of Health and Welfare. She is also the mother of 4 adult children, 4 in-law children, and a grandmother of 7. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Public Library, and for more information, contact Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at (617) 698-5757, x. 3.
