The Boston Strangler with Retired Boston Globe Editor Loretta McLaughlin at Fuller Village

September 3rd at 2:00pm in the Function Room at 1372 Brush Hill Rd.   Fuller Village resident Loretta McLaughlin spent
most of her professional life in journalism. At the end of her career, she was
Editor of the Editorial Pages of the Boston Globe where she had covered medical
news, politics, presidential affairs and notably the Clinton Health Care Plan. Earlier
in her career, she covered general news for the Hearst paper, the Boston
Evening American.  In 1962 that she
became the first news person in the country to pay attention to the series of strangling
of older women that were unfolding in Boston and later strangling that were
marked by telltale details.  Loretta named
the Boston strangler, “the Boston Strangler” rather than tagging him by some
other appellation. Since recent news has finally proved that Albert De Salvo was
the Boston Strangler, Loretta has agreed to a timely review of the serial
killings.  Join her this afternoon and be
