Thirty-Two Milton Residents Compete in Half-Marathon
Sixteen men and sixteen women entered the field of Sunday's 13.1 Marathon.
In a field of more than 4,100 runners and walkers at Sunday's Inaugural Boston Area 13.1 Marathon from Prowes Farm and through the Blue Hills Reservation and the town of Milton, 32 Milton residents challenged the hilly hometown course.
On the men's side, Jeffrey Crisp finished 42 overall with a time of 1:34:00, the fastest among Milton residents. The time was also enough for the 28 year old to earn 12th place in the 25-29 division.
In the men's 55-59 division, Barry Woods finished first in 1:37:44. He ended the race 91st overall and 77th among men. Other notable division finishes include: Steve Murray, fifth in the 45-49 division; Robert Hamblet 12th in the 40-44 division; Roberto De Oliveira Castro, 17th in the 30-34 division; and Roger Gray, 18th in the 40-44 division.

For the women's half-marathon, Nicole Colson was the top overall Milton finisher with a time of 1:49:25. She finished 324th overall, 94th among women and 32nd in the 25-29 division.
Ruth Dillard's 2:16:42 earned a fourth place finish in the 55-59 division. Jessica Peterson, Milton's youngest runner at 15, finished 15th in the girls 15-19 category.
