Town Of Milton: Select Board Briefing On MBTA Communities Multifamily Zoning Requirements

On Tuesday, March 1, at 7:00 P.M., the Milton Select Board will hear a report from Director of Planning and Community Development, Tim Czerwienski, on recent housing legislation that impacts so-called MBTA communities.  Milton is an MBTA community, with four trolley stops along the Mattapan-Ashmont line and various bus routes.  The new legislation requires MBTA communities to have at least one zoning district of reasonable size in which multi-family housing is permitted as of right.  The Town has an opportunity to comment on draft regulations by March 31, 2022.  Members of the public are invited to attend the Zoom meeting to learn about the legislation and proposed regulations and to offer comments.
