Dairy Truck Driver Faces OUI Charges Following Crash in Milton
Eri Pleitez, 43, of Lynn, was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
MILTON, MA — A tractor trailer driver was drunk when he crashed his truck in Interstate 93 police said.
Eri Pleitez, 43, of Lynn, was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation
At about 1:30 a.m., state police responded to a tractor trailer rollover at the exit 10 off ramp on I-93 South in Milton. Troopers at the scene say the tractor trailer on its right side with extensive damage and debris scattered across the off-ramp when they arrived.

An investigation determined that Pleitez lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the attenuator located at the beginning of the off-ramp. No injuries were reported.
Milton police say Pleitez was transporting dairy products.

Pleitez was arraigned in Quincy District Court Thursday. He was ordered held on $2,500 cash bail.

The highway was closed in both directions due to damage to overhead electrical cables. The off-ramp remains closed for cleanup. Wires brought down by the truck will be repaired tonight, according to MassDOT Communications Director Jacquelyn Goddard.
