Whiz Kid: Ha-Yen

Name: Ha-Yen

Grade: Kindergarten

Accomplishment: Ha-Yen is the winner of the “Cupcake pARTy Challenge,” sponsored by the Milton Visual Art Alliance (MVAA). The challenge to design a cupcake for was opened to all Milton elementary school students to celebrate the restoration of full-year visual art classes in the elementary schools. Ha-Yen’s cupcake will be available through April at Cakes.

 Key to Awesomeness: Ha-Yen’s drawing was selected out of nearly 100 entries. Like the other students, she drew inspiration from artists like Vincent Van Gogh and Henri Matisse. The judges were impressed by Ha-Yen’s use of happy, bright colors and the word “Art,” is the focus of the design.
