Your Guide: Searching Blue Hills for the Cardinal Flowers

The Quincy Park Department's Environmental Treasure Program in Search of the Cardinal Flower is Sunday, Aug. 18 at 3 p.m. (Raindate: Sunday, August 25, 3 p.m.)
Join Sally Owen for a wildflower stroll along shady paths through the Blue Hills in search of one of August’s most beautiful wildflowers. This brilliantly scarlet flower is pollinated primarily by hummingbirds.
Meet at the Shea Rink parking lot on Willard Street. Bring water, bug spray and wear light colored clothing to help identify ticks we may encounter on the trail. For more information, please call 617/472-0799.
