• Nahant Beach water quality shows improvement (itemlive.com) — Nahant Beach’s water quality has jumped to a 95% rating, giving residents more confidence about swimming along the Nahant Causeway this summer. The nonprofit Save The Harbor/Save The Bay credits long-term investments and DCR monitoring, noting Nahant’s six-year average now stands at 86% and that beaches across the region are also seeing cleaner, safer water.

• Police Logs: June 1, 2026 (itemlive.com) — Nahant residents can see that local police recorded several motor vehicle stops Monday afternoon and evening on Nahant Road, Valley Road, and Castle Road. The broader log also details arrests, accidents, alarms, and other calls in nearby Lynn, Peabody, Saugus, and Swampscott.

• Agganis Foundation names scholarship recipients (itemlive.com) — Nahant student-athletes are eligible for the Agganis Foundation scholarships, which will provide 12 North Shore seniors with a total of $90,000 toward college this year. The long-running Lynn-based program honors legendary athlete Harry Agganis and also hosts the Agganis All-Star Games in late June, highlighting top high school talent from communities including Nahant.
