• Nahant approves end-of-year funding (itemlive.com) — Nahant officials have approved a series of year-end budget transfers to close out fiscal 2026, covering a big snow-and-ice deficit, school costs, and police training and repairs without raising FY27 taxes. Town Administrator Alison Nieto says nearly all available savings were tapped, leaving no surplus in the school budget and drawing on reserve funds to meet rising state-mandated police training requirements.
