• Nantucket's Annual Memorial Day Parade Has Been Canceled (nantucketcurrent.com) — Nantucket’s traditional Memorial Day parade has been canceled this year due to a shortage of available veterans and volunteers, but the Prospect Hill Cemetery ceremony will still take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 24. Local American Legion leaders stress the decision isn’t about town support, and they hope to recruit younger veterans so the parade can return in future years.
