Boden Lane Bridge Update

Representative David Linsky provides update of the Boden Lane Bridge Closure

BOSTON- Representative David P. Linsky (D-Natick) spoke with the Highway Administrator for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation this morning and was informed that the inspection of the Boden Lane Bridge at the West Natick MBTA stop determined that the bridge was destroyed beyond repair, is completely unsafe, and must be demolished.

“During the conversation I emphasized the immediate need for pedestrian access over the railroad tracks while the process to design and build a new bridge is conducted as this often takes years to complete,” stated Representative Linsky. “At my urging, I was assured that they are developing a plan to construct a temporary structure for pedestrian access over the tracks, along with a water main. This would allow walking commuters, who live in West Natick, to access the West Natick train station by foot. I also implored MassDOT to explore additional parking to alleviate the parking crunch at the West Natick Train Station.”

For the present time MassDOT will continue the shuttle bus operation and other announcements regarding the status of the bridge and transportation updates will come from the MBTA.
