Coolidge Hill: A Miracle of Community Resolve and Muscle

Monday, 9/23/13, one of the most beautiful days ever on the Coolidge Hill Summit.   • inspiring views in all directions....early fall color just beginning to blush.  The photos tell the story • no trash or bottles/cans anywhere; (big boy beer bottles placed in the MassCor Bin unbroken)....only a couple of "strays" tossed in the woods near the first Rocky Outcrop, and one can at the Grassy Triangle (Jefferson St.) • get up there in the next 2 - 3 weeks and check it out for yourself....colors will be exquisite. • deeply grateful to all of you who have helped restore this glorious space so everyone in our community can enjoy it; it's simply a Miracle of Community Resolve, Muscle, and Teamwork. • did a little work on the "Sledding Hill," (off of School St. Ext.) reinforcing and adding a couple erosion control devices, most of which are working. Wed., 9/25, 10 am, Trail Buddies will convene at the Parking Notch on Pond St. leading down the steep bank to the fishing cove.  More erosion control work. Then I'll take 3 weeks off until after Natick Trails Day, 10/19.   BTW, don't hesitate to join us for Natick Trails Day, Sat., 10/19, 9 am - 3pm, in The Natick Town Forest, and the Big Final Summit Sweep of the year on Coolidge Hill, Sat., 11/16, 9 am - Noon.  --Pat
