Engineering for Humanity: Helping Elders Age in Place Through Partnerships for Healthy Living

Participating in this innovative, intergenerational program will give you the chance to be matched with interested students from Olin, Wellesley and Babson Colleges who want to learn from older adults about their daily lives and collaborate with them in designing and implementing simple engineering solutions for everyday problems. To participate you must be: Age 65 or older, living at home alone or with a spouse; available from the end of January 2014 through May 2014; willing to allow students to occasionally visit with you in your home; willing to attend monthly class sessions at Olin College in Needham or attend field trips (transportation will be provided, if needed).
