Get Smart About Homework @ the Morse Institute Library

Fall is in the air—and for many of us, so is homework!

When it's time to study or start an assignment, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when it comes to finding reliable information online.

It might help to know that your Natick library card gives you access to online content as well as print materials. Visit our website to access digital books, articles, and learning resources. Because the library subscribes to these resources, they are reliable and ad-free, unlike many websites.

This month we're spotlighting some of the online educational resources we offer. We have something for every age, from the youngest learners to adult students.

Online encyclopedias are perfect for a short homework assignment or getting an overview of a topic. We offer Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book Encyclopedia. Our Gale Virtual Reference Library provides reference books on specialized topics.

Online magazine & journal articles are great for school projects and college-level research. With databases such as InfotracGale PowerSearch, and MasterFile, you can search thousands of magazines and journals, many of which aren't otherwise available online.

Our online newspapers include the full archives of the Boston Globe and New York Times as well as more recent articles from hundreds of local papers, including the Natick Bulletin.

Gale In Context subject portals bring together articles and other resources about subjects such as science, world history, and current events.

Mango Languages is one of the coolest resources we offer—it's an interactive language learning website for over 40 languages.

If you're studying for a test or looking for reliable websites for a project, we also list recommended websites for teen and adult learners.

To access our digital collection, visit our Children, Teen, or Adult pages. Have your library card number and PIN ready.

If you need help using our digital collection, visit our Children's or Reference desks. Librarians can help you find the right resources for your homework project. You can also contact the library by telephone or email.

If you're a Natick resident but don't have a library card, you can sign up for a library card. It's free!
