ICYMI: Natick Praying Indians Asking You To Save Their Pow Wow

Save the Natick Praying Indians pow wow by donating.

NATICK, MA—The Natick Praying Indians are the surviving descendants of the indigenous people of this area, and in the early 1600s were converted to Christianity. In the winter of 1675-1676 roughly 500 Indians were held captive on Deer Island.

Now, for the past 20 years, the Natick Praying Indians have been holding a Fall Pow Wow at Lake Cochituate at no cost to them. This year, for the first time, they were informed they would have to pay for the park, and are raising funds in order to hold their annual event.
