Teen Yelled Slurs, Shot Paintball Gun At Natick High: Police
Jacob Rodrigues, of Fall River, was charged with a civil rights violation and assault.

NATICK, MA — The man accused of shouting racist and profane slurs while driving by Natick High School and shooting a paintball gun toward the school on Wednesday pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday. The man was identified as 18-year-old Jacob Rodrigues of Fall River. According to WCVB, police received a Snapchat video Rodrigues may have sent after the incident showing him making finger guns toward the camera and showing a paintball gun.
Rodrigues pleaded not guilty to all charges which included assault with a dangerous weapon and civil rights violation. He was released on his own recognizance because of his age and lack of criminal record but he will have to wear a GPS monitor to ensure he stays away from the school.
No one was harmed in Wednesday's incident and the school was deemed safe for after-school activities. Both the school and police department said they have no tolerance for bigotry or racism.
