The town announced hires of a new executive director, director of facilities and director of public works.

NATICK, MA — Natick has officially overhauled its Department of Public Works and Facilities leadership team after combining the two departments.
At the top of that three-person leadership group is Bill Spratt, who will serve as the executive director of public works and facilities, a new position for the town.
Spratt has spent the last two years as the facilities director, where he helped complete both the Kennedy Middle School and West Natick Fire Station construction projects.

"He helped build a stewardship program to replace capital assets before their end of life, and provided benchmarking data to better understand the needs of the Facilities Department," town officials added.
In addition to Spratt, Andy Rieder will take over as the director of facilities and John Westerling will serve as the director of the Department of Public Works.

"I have been involved in property and facility management/maintenance for 10+ years and I love it," said Rieder.
"I'm excited to work with the Natick Facilities Department and Town staff, and will utilize my experience to continue down the path of maximizing availability and comfort of our facilities by ensuring proper and timely maintenance."
Rieder served most recently in Somerville as the preventive maintenance manager. In Natick, he'll cover 22 town buildings and 8 Natick Public Schools buildings.
Westerling joins Natick most recently from Hopkinton.
"It is my privilege and honor to serve the residents of Natick as their Director of Public Works," he said.
He continued:
"I am incredibly fortunate to work for a community that focuses on economic development, quality of life for all, financial predictability, and community engagement because Public Works is integral to supporting all of those values. Natick's DPW is a leader when it comes to providing clean drinking water, maintaining safe roads, and protecting natural resources while being mindful of sustainability and efficiency."
